Plan the drive
Read the board, create running lanes, and decide when to pass, advance, or punt.
The board game took the field
Control the field, outthink your opponent, and turn every move into a scoring opportunity. No dice. No cards. No luck required.
Two classics. One new challenge.
Checker Football recreates the decisions and momentum of football on a checker-style board. Build blocks, move the ball, pass, tackle, intercept, punt, and score.
Every turn matters. The rules are approachable, but the possibilities run deep enough to keep friends, families, and strategy players coming back for one more game.
Read the board, create running lanes, and decide when to pass, advance, or punt.
Use blocks and positioning to protect the ball while taking away your opponent’s options.
Break through, complete the pass, force a safety, or turn an interception into momentum.
Learn the flow
Start with the essentials, then discover the strategy behind every formation and move.
The receiving team lines up across its 40-yard line, 20-yard line, and end zone. The kicking team moves first. After three blocks are formed, players can move in any direction and the ball carrier can begin advancing.
The offense begins with at least seven checkers on the line of scrimmage. Create blocks, protect the quarterback, and open space for a run, handoff, or pass.
Counter the offense with positioning, blocks, tackles, and interceptions. Force the ball carrier out of options or create a turnover at the perfect moment.
Reach the end zone, attempt a one- or two-point conversion, or use field position and punting to make the next possession harder for your opponent.
The complete playbook

The quarterback or ball carrier moves one empty square at a time or jumps teammates. The player carrying quarterback abilities may continue jumping eligible teammates in a chosen direction.
The quarterback may pass to an eligible teammate. Defensive positioning can close lanes or create interceptions, making timing and spacing central to every passing play.
Defensive moves can end a down, stop a drive, force a safety, or take possession. Smart defenders anticipate the offense rather than merely reacting to the ball.
Move the ball into the end zone to score, then choose the appropriate one- or two-point conversion. Field position and clock awareness can shape the final result.

A family game with a competitive heart
Invented by Kim Stewart, Checker Football was created to simulate the outdoor game of football as closely as possible through checker-style movement. It became a game where younger players could learn the concepts, experienced players could develop deeper strategy, and any two people could compete.
The Great American Game Company brought that original tabletop experience to mobile so players can now take the field with friends locally or opponents around the world.
